Jessica started her career in the Veterinary field kind of by accident; looking for a job right out of high school she was hired at a specialty hospital in the summer of 1999. After a few years she decided that working at a general practice was a better fit and in July of 2002 she started at RSDAH. Jessica originally wanted to become a teacher; attending Grossmont College and then San Diego State University. She eventually realized that teaching was not for her but only had a few months of coursework left to complete her degree; so in 2007 she graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts & Science. We are glad she had a change of heart because she has been an integral part of our team here. Jessica is one of the rare “techceptionists” that can help in almost all areas of the hospital, although she prefers to stay behind the front desk where she can do what she does best; taking care of our clients. Her years of work experience AND personal pet's disease experience make her the perfect front for our hospital. Jessica says nothing makes her more happy at work than seeing the diversity of animals that come in through the front door every day. Jessica currently shares her home with two rescue kitties: Smokey & Ranger. Jessica is very close with her family and spends a lot of time with them; whether it's at the desert or river, traveling to other countries or taking advantage of all the things San Diego has to offer.
